Terry Jenkins claimed his first ever win at Alexandra Palace to reach round two of the World Championships on Monday night .
'The Bull', as he is affectionately known, missed eight darts at a winning double before eventually clawing past Paul Nicholson 3-2 in a thrilling first-round exchange.Jenkins, eliminated at the first hurdle in 2008 and 2009, will now await the winner of close friend Andy Smith and American Darin Young in round two.
Nicholson's preparation was hampered ahead of the match, the Newcastle-born Aussie forced to walk two-and-a-half miles to the arena after snow had played havoc with the roads outside Alexandra Palace. (Source:AFP)
